My spouse is a paraplegic and has 2 services daily. They require bathing, dressing, SPC attention, moving on hoist, etc. Recently in the morning, we were told an hour before the service was due that there was no carer available.
I have just been on the phone twice with Australian Unity and am told that no carer is available. I believe that they tried, but this is an essential service. I feel we are not guaranteed regular care despite the glowing promotions and TV advertising.
