I am an alcoholic. I am so very grateful for the opportunity to change my life from being an underconfident, overly emotional alcoholic to a sober, confident individual.
The skills I have learned have been life-changing. I am leaving empowered with emotional regulation and awareness skills. These skills have created a positive new outlook on life. I'm excited instead of fearful about life. And instead of looking at sobriety as an overwhelming life long journey, I have learned to look at it 'Just One Day at a Time". The skills I have learned are moment to moment and 'Just For Today'. Mindfulness skills have given me empowerment, awareness and tools to action positive rational responses to emotions while embracing the moment - the here and now - whether positive or negative.
I want to thank my Counsellor, Janelle and recommend you embrace her genuine desire to support you through your journey to recovery. The skills I have been blessed with are priceless and life-saving. The skills and values I have, I will share and instil in my child.
Today I leave a new person, almost re-born. I highly recommend you spend the time at Logan House with Lives Lived Well to empower yourself to re-set your life.
