I am a regular patient - receiving monthly blood infusions to improve my immunity. They take about 5 hours and I walk in feeling worn out as the last infusion has worn off and walk out feeling light-headed and even more tired. It takes a few days for the infusion to kick in and to get some energy back.
There are many regular patients like myself and in my opinion, the nurses are universally wonderful - warm and welcoming which makes this tedious process almost enjoyable.
I believe the facilities could, however, be improved - there is no tea, coffee or food provided but the usually very busy nurses will run off and make you one if they have a moment. We used to be able to make our own tea and coffee which was great as we are required to keep our fluids up to maintain our blood pressure.
In my opinion, the bathroom facilities are also very old and in need for an upgrade to bring up to hygiene standards including a leaking sink pipe wrapped in an old towel - not great I feel, given we are patients with poor immune systems.
