My parent was a patient in Ward 7B recently and was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. I would like to pay a compliment to the outstanding Nurse, Michelle.
As you are well aware, restrictions with the current COVID pandemic only permits one visitor for the entire hospital stay. I believe this is a burden on the family member that is the nominated visitor. Then came along an angel called Michelle, having lost my other parent to Pancreatic Cancer in just 120 days, she made my parent and myself at ease.
Michelle’s obvious concern for my parent and the care she offered was a comfort to myself, knowing that she was there when I couldn’t be.
I would also like to thank Dr Sundra, for his amazing bedside manner – a cancer diagnosis is a shock, but his sincere nature assured us that he would be helping my parent throughout this ordeal.
Please pass on my thanks to all involved with my parent's stay.
