"Nursing care"

About: Coral Bay Nursing Post

(as the patient),

We recently had to make two trips to the Coral Bay Nursing Post.

The first visit, we initially called up as my spouse had a reaction to a script. Denise helped us, she said she would like to see my spouse as she didn't want to prescribe anything without seeing them first. In my opinion, this is a wise choice. She gave an excellent assessment, she even sought a second opinion by organising a Telehealth. This was out of hours. She was fantastic.

The second visit was for me. I had a nasty scrape on my shin. I didn't get to see Denise that night. The next morning I saw her for a dressing. She went beyond the call of duty as she said I should have called her the previous night when the injury occurred. She was so efficient. She fixed up the graze and gave me extra dressing. So professional and intelligent. She was patient and efficient. I think she needs a big bouquet.

Dear jackpotgt39,

I am sorry to read that while on holiday your spouse had a reaction and then you required medical attention so thank you, for taking the time to share your story with Care Opinion.

It was a delight to hear about the professional, excellent and efficient care you received from Denise at the Coral Bay Nursing Post. It will be my pleasure to pass on your lovely compliment to Denise. We value all our staff who strive to deliver safe and high quality patient-centred care to our country communities. We are fortunate to have the Emergency Telehealth Service that supports our staff using video conferencing equipment to connect local doctors and nurses with highly trained, emergency medicine specialists, ensuring specialist medical care is available to regional and remote patients.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience and I hope you have both recovered.

Kind regards

Tina Godden
