"My care experience at Collie Hospital"

About: Collie Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Recently I had an accident and cut the tip of my thumb with an axe. As it was out of regular hours we went to the hospital. I was pretty concerned, as it was a fair size chunk that was off. I've only just moved here from another rural town so I don't have a local doctor either.

I was seen quickly, the wound was reviewed by available staff and a more experienced doctor was called in to view the wound and offer options.

I am happy with the care received and the instructions for self-care of the wound have been followed carefully. The wound is healing much faster than I might have hoped, thanks very much to the advice of dressing choice and frequency they suggested.
