"Poor discharge process"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital

(as a service user),

I was discharged from my room at mid-morning and still sat in the discharge room many hours later and it was now mid afternoon. When you are feeling unwell and nobody cares about what your needs are it's very disappointing. I was so very very angry.

Dear eagleqk66,

I was very sorry to read that you did not have a good experience when being discharged from Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and that you were left feeling that no-one cared about you.

As Care Opinion is an anonymous platform, I am unable to comment on what contributed to the delay in your being discharged however I would like to offer my sincere apologies for your experience whilst a patient at SCGH.

I do hope that you are now feeling better and that your interactions with SCGH will be more positive in the future.

Kind regards

Janet Zagari
