About: Osborne Park Hospital / Department of Rehabilitation Medicine (DRM)

(as the patient),

Booked to attend Parkinson's Time Trials at Parkinson's Rehabilitation Centre at Osborne Park Hospital. Have attended this Hospital on a number of occasions over the last 12 months. The previous service was of a high level. 

Having only being diagnosed with Parkinson's earlier this year, I still have many questions and concerns. My concern was should I ask questions about the tests and results. Should I ask questions about Parkinson's and things that are happening to me since only starting medication recently. 

My concerns and nervousness were quickly resolved when I met Anita.

She showed a genuine empathy to my feelings and I felt part of the team, not just the patient. When I left the session I felt refreshed and confident as to my future.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience of the rehabilitation healthcare service provided at Osborne Park Hospital for people with Parkinson’s.

It is good to hear that you were treated with empathy and felt part of a team. I am sure that Anita will be very appreciative of your kind words.

Exercise is important for everyone’s health and is especially helpful for people living with Parkinson’s. I am happy to hear that you felt refreshed and confident about your future when you left the session.

Please do not hesitate to ask staff about any aspects about managing your health and wellbeing at your future appointments.
