I’m a disabled person and I have to attend the outpatients at St George Hospital 3 times a week. Where the outpatients is located, there are 6 disabled parking spots on Belgrave Street. Every day that I am there - sometimes I walk past the parking bays to go somewhere else – there are at least 3 to 4 cars that are parked in these parking spots with no disabled permits. I don't believe the parking inspectors have done anything about it. Some cars even have their visors on which, in my belief means they are there for long periods at a time. I’ve had to park a few streets over because the disabled parking spots are taken and have to make my way to the outpatients department. Occasionally I get a spot but more often than not, I don’t. I feel it’s very inconsiderate of these people that park there all day, as I am a disabled person and have to park far away.
As for the in-hospital care, that part is wonderful and cannot fault the care I receive. Everyone is very helpful.
