I was allocated to midwifery group practice 5 (MGP5) at King Edward memorial hospital where I was looked after by compassionate and amazing midwives. My pregnancy was not as smooth sailing as I anticipated, and being my first pregnancy, I was rattled with anxiety and fear of the unknown. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetics and I needed a lot of support especially from my midwives.
The midwives at MGP5 were fantastic; they were always attentive to my concerns and they worked proactively to ensure that my needs were met. When I had questions about my pregnancy, I was always encouraged to message or call them.
Also, I am immensely grateful for the birthing classes provided by MGP 5 midwives. These classes were so informative and empowering. Today, I am still using all the tips and tricks I learnt from the midwives at MGP5. Overall, when I look back at my experiences at King Edwards hospital- MGP5, I never felt alone or ignored. Therefore, I will always be appreciative and thankful to all the midwives at MGP 5.
Thanks Maddi, Hayley and Mel. You are all fantastic Midwives.
