"Emergency care at Box Hill Hospital"

About: Box Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

I drove my adolescent child to Box Hill Emergency Department after a nasty accident at school involving their arm. The care was just wonderful, from triage, ward care, X-ray, and physio.

The linkage to our local GP for follow up care was seamless and very convenient. Nurse Mun was delightful and made my child feel very comfortable and laugh at her great humour! Thank you Box Hill, Emergency staff. We are so fortunate in Australia to have the health care system we do.

My child's arm is now out of the cast and back to their usual activities.

Dear chamaeleonhz47,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share these comments regarding the positive experience you and your child had when attending Eastern Health's Box Hill Hospital.

This was no doubt quite traumatic for you all and I was so pleased to see the Eastern Health values of Patients First, Kindness, Respect, Excellence, Agility and Humility shine through. It will give me great pleasure to share your comments with the teams themselves and especially Mun so they see the impact they have on both you and your child.

So pleased your child has recovered well and let's hope this doesn't happen too often!

All the best to you and your family for the festive / holiday season!

Kind regards

David
