"End of Life Care"

My great Grandma had been an inpatient at Hollywood Private Hospital for about a month when her condition deteriorated and the focus of her care transitioned towards end of life care.

I cannot fault the care provided by the multidisciplinary teams on Gratwick ward - from the amazing nursing staff to the medical teams, FSA (Marie) and PCA (Les & Rina) staff - all of whom ensured that my Great Grandma received the highest quality of care throughout and enabled her to pass away peacefully, pain-free and with dignity.

A special mention to the two night nurses, Shirley and Stella, who looked after her on her last night. Both nurses were absolutely delightful to my Great Grandma and our family and ensured that her symptoms were promptly and appropriately managed to minimise any distress, in addition to making sure I was comfortable staying overnight.

Thank you also to nurses, Carmen and Caitlin, for your beautiful care and smiling faces during an otherwise sad morning for our family. I am extremely grateful for all the care my great Grandma received throughout her stay and the positive end-of-life experience she was able to have.
