"Birthing"

About: Campbelltown Hospital

(as the patient),

In 2020 I had my first baby. I had GD on insulin and had to be induced. My cervix was posterior and had to go to the 3rd choice induction method. I'd been in maternity for 4 days by the time I was able to have my waters broken and deliver.

I had 1 dr who was internal examining me which was very rough in my opinion, but all the nurses and midwives and everyone else was excellent and I was made to feel completely comfortable.

On the delivery day, I ate early in the morning and was moved to birthing mid-morning. Waters broken by midday - everything moves on nicely.

The midwife was so lovely and chatted to us causally about everything and nothing, which I appreciated as it took my mind off the pain. 12 hours later my baby is born.

The dr was brilliant and comforting, didn’t even feel the episiotomy or suction. After my baby was born the midwife made me a grilled cheese. I have no hesitation or issue with having my next baby at Campbelltown and would recommend it to anyone.
