I was admitted with a sudden back injury unable to walk or sit. My experience from emergency to admission was great, the nurses, allied health and all other staff were exceptional, cheerful, competent and caring. I felt safe and well cared for.
My only complaint, and in the context of how good everything else was minor, is that by and large, in my opinion, the food was dreadful, and seemed not that healthy. There was always an option of salad, but 10 days or so of salad is unappealing. Also, sandwiches were always an option. However, I do not eat much bread as a rule. The cooked food when I ordered it was not good and often I could not eat more than a mouthful of it. I was lucky that my friends brought in food for me to eat. But I believe not everyone would have that support. Good nutrition and appetising food are important in recovery, although not as important as the staff caring for you.
Overall I was very happy with my treatment and stay at Denmark hospital and would like that to be noted.
