"I could not ask for better care"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Community Midwifery Program

(as the patient),

I recently went through the midwifery group practice at King Edward Hospital for my first pregnancy. The care and support provided was outstanding, appointments were always on time and convenient to make easily around my full time job & husband's FIFO roster.

Our midwife, Caitlin, was fantastic and the continuity of care made it much easier to talk about any changes or concerns I had. Having someone we knew during the birth made a big difference to how comfortable and calm we both were, especially as the labour/delivery didn't go to plan.

All the auxiliary services and support such as the lactation consultants and visit from the women's physio were fantastic.

We will definitely be requesting to go through the MGP at King Edward's for any future pregnancies. After comparing experiences and care with friends at both other public and private hospitals I could not have asked for better care.

Dear novermberkj35,

Firstly I would like to congratulate you on the birth of your child. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

We are incredibly proud of our Midwifery Group Practice Team (MGP) team and the way they work with our patients to achieve positive outcomes during the pregnancy and birthing journey. I am so pleased to hear that you had a positive experience with our MGP model of care, and that you felt safe and supported throughout your pregnancy and birth and plan to return for your next pregnancy.

Our staff at the Breastfeeding Centre are dedicated to helping new mothers breastfeed successfully and it is lovely to hear that you were able to get the advice and support you needed.

Thank you for sharing your story and we will be sure to send your appreciative comments to all the staff involved, with special thanks to Caitlin.

I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Kind regards

Jodi Graham
