"Recovery Journey"

About: Logan House Residential Rehabilitation Facility

(as a service user),

I first attended treatment at LLW Logan House in 2019. When I arrived I was broken and had lost the will to go on, but I knew I had to find a way to repair my life. So began a roller-coaster of self discovery and healing I never expected.

Fast forward 2yrs and after taking everything I had learnt to try and fix my wrongs and falling back into a life I didn't want to return to, I had lost my way. The first thing I thought of was returning back to the place that saved my life, upon arriving I could feel that something was different, I was different. Needless to say this time has been a completely new experience and one to which I was not expecting.

The knowledge I have gained through classes and sessions from the amazing Staff of Logan House has completely opened my eyes, the level of respect and care shown has been unbelievable and has allowed me to fully embrace my recovery. Without their knowledge and guidance I would never have been able to achieve the amount of change and growth I have in such a short period of time.

I now have a new lease on life and focusing on the goals and gained a love of learning and understanding of not only myself but how I can help others, I know I have only scratched the surface of my passion for the next stage of my life.

Thank you Branka, John, Sue, Ruth, Gemma, Mel, Tash, Nikki, Colin.

I will never be able to show these amazing people exactly how much they have changed my life, but I look forward to trying by continuing to grow and better myself.

Hello sigmakp75,

Thank you for giving us some of your story and especially your two engagements with Lives Lived Well's Logan House.

Your story speaks of persistence and courage when you have been broken and have seemingly lost the will to go on; and yet you did find a strength within yourself to keep trying and you did find a key to repairing yourself through your linking with the support available at Logan house. Not only that, you now have a passion and an energy, 'a new lease on life', to continue to grow in yourself and to support others as well. It is great to hear such stories not just for the people seeking support from Lives Lived Well but for the staff at Lives Lived Well who can see the work they are doing is having an impact.

Thank you for your acknowledgement of the staff at Logan House. I will make sure they are aware of your comments.

I wish you all the best with the next stage of your life.

Warm regards

Gerard
