"The bedding"

About: Kununurra Hospital / General Ward

(as the patient),

In my experience, the bed was too small, with a bed mattress which hurt parts of my body - back & rear end.

No space to move around. I think the security bars on the bed need to be set differently, when you sit on the bed it hurts your legs.

I believe the beds are not good for big people, obese or not.

Dear Big patient,

Thank you for providing us with your feedback via Care Opinion.

I would like to sincerely apologise that your admission to Kununurra Hospital resulted in you being allocated a bed that was too small with a mattress that hurt parts of your body. This must have been a very uncomfortable experience for you and I am very sorry that this happened.

I would like to learn more about your experience and wonder if you could contact me either at the hospital or by phone. My work mobile number is 0400 626 971.

We are very appreciative of the feedback from our patients and their families as this helps us to understand how we can take action to improve what we do.

I hope that you are feeling better and that I hear from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Lucy Murphy

A/Coordinator of Nursing and Midwifery

Kununurra Hospital.
