I am an older person and live alone. A few years ago I had back surgery/was told I qualified for rehabilitation but was sent home, so I feel I never received the care I needed. Unfortunately I became weaker and was unable to walk unaided for 3 yrs.

This year I had my LHR at another hospital and I feel I had to argue with staff there that I needed rehabilitation, eventually I was accepted by Busselton Rehab. The care and programme I was given helped me immensely; especially the group therapy. I feel this was the best incentive that anyone could go through. Each session I would push myself to do more. I have been home now for a few weeks and am now walking inside on my own. First time in 3 yrs. I can not say enough for the Busselton Physios, Doctors + Nurses for all they have given me.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your rehabilitation experience at Busselton Hospital.

Great to hear you had such a positive experience and now back at home and walking on your own – such a wonderful outcome from what sounds like hard work and also persistence in advocating for your health needs!

We are very fortunate to provide the rehabilitation program in Busselton and pride ourselves on the dedicated team which involves staff from patient support, administration, allied health, nursing and medical. The rehab programs provided are individualised and continually modified dependent on patient needs and progress - group therapy being an important component.

Your feedback has been passed on to the team and best of luck with your ongoing recovery.
