Mum had dementia and was in care at Quairading Health Service for over 2 years. I felt extremely happy and comfortable that she was in such amazingly good care and a warm environment.
Since day 1, mum was made to feel that this was her home and she could and should treat it as such. Each and every staff member she encountered treated her with respect and kindness and a great deal of attention. As her condition deteriorated and her behaviours changed, where she sometimes showed anger and frustration, this attention did not falter.
During the final few weeks of mum's life, again this care and attention never waned. We as a family also received the utmost consideration and kindness, always being checked for our wellbeing and any needs we may have.
I cannot commend everyone at Quairading Hospital highly enough. I believe they are all just normal people doing the most wonderful work.
