We attended the Positive Birth Program, an antenatal birthing class which was specifically tailored to keeping both me and my wife prepared, especially emotionally, for delivery. We learned many techniques, including hypnobirthing techniques, to help assist us in staying calm and not making things more difficult.
The course was very beneficial and significantly eased my anxiety about the whole process. I was also more educated on exactly what to expect, and what to do. On the day of my son’s birth, I was able to assist my wife calmly and confidently throughout the entire time. My wife managed to confidently deliver our son in 8 hours with minimal interventions and without any medication.
