"Eye clinic"

About: Prince of Wales Hospital / PB4 - Eye Clinic

(as the patient),

I have been going to the eye clinic for a few years now, the staff there are really good. They’re friendly and they know what they’re doing. They're comforting when I go in for needles in the eye, which is unsettling. They make you feel good, and they talk to you while they’re doing it.

There is a couple staff whose names I remember; Jan, Daisy, she’s a nice lady, Pookie, and a male nurse Andrew. Dr Amy, she’s very good, I like her and when I see her name on my form it puts a smile on my face, she does the procedure gently. All the staff there are very good. They make you feel so at ease, and because I’m diabetic they take care of me. There’s often a wait but that’s because they make sure they are doing everything properly. I have no complaints.

Dear sagittariusys73,

Thank you for such lovely feedback about your experiences in our Eye Clinic. Our Eye Clinic staff work extremely hard seeing a high number of patients but pride themselves on taking the time to have a patient-centred approach and making all their patients feel comfortable and at ease, especially when having procedures like yours.

I will make sure the Eye Clinic staff get your positive feedback.

Kind regards,

Andrew Maxwell

Co-Director Nursing and Operations, Program of Surgery and Perioperative Medicine, POWH
