In a world where the view of negative moments always seems to take centre stage over the positive moments, I wanted to take a moment to share our positive experience at PCH. We have been away from home for 2 months, staying as an inpatient for a short amount of time but attending iRehab and many outpatient appointments.
We came across many doctors, nurses, physios, OTs, speechies, receptionists, teachers, volunteers, HCA and students. Also the DTU and the EMU unit.
In my experience, the majority of your staff are beyond amazing, professional, kind, caring and you can see the passion they have to help your child.
I believe it’s time that they are appreciated for all that they do. So to each and every staff member that cared for my son and for me, although I told you at the time, I want you to know you are appreciated, you made an impact in our lives at a time that was hard. Your smile made me smile, your kindness touched my heart, your care was amazing!
You have all had an impact on me and my son, you care, to you we are not a number we are real, we have feelings, we have good days and bad and you can see that. Thank you will never be enough. Thank you can not be put into words.
Keep being amazing, remember that it’s easier to complain than it is to compliment in my opinion. Pat yourselves on the back, and if you’re having a hard day take a moment, take a breath and remember you are important to me!
