I was recently a patient in the private hospital.
I could not have been treated better by the admission nurses before surgery. They went over and above to make me comfortable.
The surgeon was exceptional and a very caring person as were their staff.
The ward nurses did their job but the night shift nurse was a gem a big thank you to them.
Unfortunately that's where I felt it ends. I tried to contact the hospital a few days later it was a weekend but got, in my opinion, the rudest switch person ever. I got cut off and then rang back and was put on hold but rang from another phone to be answered straight away. It wasn't till I told them I will ring the health dept that they transferred me to a nurse unit manager.
I then expressed my concern that my partner who travelled with me and was never tested or asked a single covid question on 3 visitations and my partner stayed in Sydney and was concerned that the possibility of lack of testing could cause an outbreak in the hospital.
At least I felt this person took me seriously but I will ring manager after submitting this story.
Disappointing end to an otherwise great stay.
