Recently, I received a crush injury to a finger. I was in shock and considerable pain. I was extremely upset after what had been a very difficult week. This was the proverbial straw.
Upon getting to Bunbury regional hospital I was met with nurse Zoe who, I felt, was amazing. She was very caring, professional, empathetic and quick. I was then treated by Dr Charlotte who, I felt, was again amazing and reassuring. She explained it was a partial amputation but put a plan into place so that I could get surgery in Perth that afternoon. Nurse Zoe was constantly checking in as well.
I was released in the early hours of the morning, and received a call from Dr Charlotte a few hours later, still working! She had arranged everything for the surgery that day. Thanks to Zoe and Charlottes prompt actions , the surgeon in Perth Dr Susan was able to do her magic and hopefully everything will be ok. In my opinion, everyone from Bunbury emergency all the way to Subiaco SJOG surgery were great, reassuring and personable.
Thankyou
"Amazing professional care"
