Our brother/brother in law was taken to Geraldton Regional Hospital recently as a very ill man. It turned out he was suffering a blood infection with complications that led to multiple organ failure. Sadly he wasn't to survive his illness.
Our experience of the hospital was one of complete and utmost care of our brother. Everyone that helped him did so with utter professionalism and empathy. We were there the whole time with him and there was never a moment that we were unsure as to what was happening. We felt that nobody was going to give up on his life.
We wish to thank so many of the nurses and doctors that were part of his trial of life and ultimately his short palliative care. Nurses Alice, Ruth, Hannah, Ellen, Jasmine, Ainslie, Francesca, Dr Divine, Dr Ahmad, Dr Dan and one other doctor whom we sadly cannot remember his name but was amazing, and two nurses in the HDU whom we didn't catch their names! As well as the fantastic ambulance drivers.
We felt everyone treated our brother with the utmost respect, we couldn't ask for better. We want them to all know how much we appreciated their care. We are obviously devastated at the outcome but we knew that our brother was warm, clean and cared for at the time of his passing and that means everything to us. Thank you to everyone involved. xxx
