I gave birth a couple of months ago at KEMH. I was cared for under KEMH MGP. I felt it was reassuring and immensely helpful to work with the same midwife throughout my pregnancy. The care is one and one and, in my opinion, very personal in each of the antenatal appointments, the birth and care in postnatal.

My midwife and her team were contactable 24/7 throughout my pregnancy and after birth back at home with my newborn, answering any questions I had. My midwife coached me through birthing options available to me and broadened my knowledge of natural pain relief tactics.

I would recommend MGP to any expectant mothers.

Congratulations on the birth of your new baby. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience with the Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS).

I am so pleased to hear that you had a positive experience with our Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) model of care. WNHS is incredibly proud of the maternity care that is provided by our staff and the way they work with our patients to achieve positive outcomes during the pregnancy and birthing journey.

One of the aims of the MGP program is for new parents to feel that they have built a lasting relationship with their midwife, and feel supported for the duration of their pregnancy, labour and birth. We have found that the postnatal care from the MGP midwives is a valuable asset, making the transition to motherhood an enjoyable experience for you and baby.
