"Referrals and the accuracy of the information provided"

About: GPs in the Perth Electoral District

(as the patient),

The other day last week, I had cause to call my doctor and request a referral to a specialist. I was advised it would cost me $20 and I could either pick it up or it could be forwarded on my behalf to the specialist, but because I am a senior and my medical appointments are bulk billed I could visit the doctor and it would cost me nothing.

As I needed no medical attention I chose to pay the fee but I feel rather used as if I had chosen to visit the surgery the doctor would have charged the health system, I assume the full price of a consultation. This to me is a rip off.

Further to the above, the referral was incorrect the section for Current Medications had 3 incorrect entries.
