(as a relative),

I would like to express my gratitude for the professional and empathic way that my mother was looked after at Sydney Eye Hospital. I appreciate the professionalism and care given to her by the medical and nursing teams but would like to make an extra shout out to Beata, senior social worker.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created extra challenges with isolation from usual family support systems and I would like to acknowledge my appreciation to Beata for making the extra effort to help us find a solution post-discharge care for my mother. The value of her connection and understanding towards our situation can not be understated and helps with maintaining optimism that we can all get through this together. Thank you Beata!

I am pleased to hear that the support you and your mother were given throughout your mother's hospital stay was positive. It is pleasing to hear that the staff involved in your mother's care, from your social worker to the nurses and medical staff had a positive impact on your mother's stay during a difficult time with a COVID lockdown in place.
