"Embracing a sober life"

I sought the help of Lives Lived Well in April 2021 when alcohol use had spiralled into abuse (again -- after a long period of being 'in check'). I was sick of feeling sick (physically ill and tired all the time), I was anxious and I really did not like myself one iota. I knew I needed to stop but I couldn't...not alone.

Lives Lived Well Caboolture responded to my email enquiry with a phone call within 24 hours. We talked options. I commenced supervised home detox the following week, counselling and a three-weekday program of group therapy. The support afterwards has been there. I feel like a totally different person -- healthier, happier, confident, optimistic -- and am ever-so grateful to have my life back on track.
