(as the patient),

I would like to compliment the nurse Hayley. I really appreciated the care and support she gave me when I had a Hickman line inserted late last month. Hayley was so kind and looked after me when I went into shock after the surgery. Even though she was very busy she made time to help me and reassure me. While doing her important nursing tasks, Hayley took the time to be kind which made a huge difference to my hospital experience. Thank you Hayley!

I’m sorry to read that you went into shock post-surgery – it must have been a scary moment for you. But it was extremely reassuring for me to read of the kindness and compassion Hayley showed you.

Kindness can make the world of difference, and I am immensely proud that this level of kindness is clearly what Hayley adds to the care she provides to our patients. I have ensured Hayley reads your compliment, and Hayley, from myself – I personally thank you also.
