"My mother's care during COVID19"

About: Killara Hostel

(as a carer),

My mother is a resident of Killara, part of the Kooweerup Regional Health Service. I would like to thank the staff who we dealt with for their care and compassion during the COVID19 pandemic. It was not always possible to see Mum, so to know there were carers doing everything to make things safe and less anxious was a God send.

Thank-you also for the regular communication and contact from staff. The Zoom meetings in particular were helpful, plus use of Skype, email, phone calls - whatever it took to stay connected. Thank-you and Merry Christmas to you all.

Dear phoenixcb53,

Thank you for your kind feedback.

The last two years have been extremely difficult for everyone and particularly for residential aged care residents, families and staff. We are indeed blessed to have such compassionate and committed staff who have gone above and beyond time and time again.

I am pleased that we were able to maintain a sense of connection and will ensure this continues.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback and passing on your appreciation - the Killara staff will be thrilled.

Wishing you a safe and joyous festive season.

Kind regards,

Noni
