This story has a somewhat humorous side in so much as, during an 11-day caravan trip, we (that is 3 of us) needed to attend the hospital on 3 consecutive days. Initially I slammed my finger in the caravan door and tore the end off! This was treated with the aid of super glue (medical variety - not hardware) and a wad of dressings, which over the next 4 or 5 days was changed by the staff there.
On the 2nd day, I took my wife to the hospital with ankle swelling and tenderness. Following an initial consult, a call was made to the on-call doctor in Margaret River, who promptly arrived and diagnosed cellulitis. Medication was prescribed and we followed this up a couple of days later.
On the 3rd day, I took our friend to the hospital with serious sunburn to his feet and ankles. Upon entry to the hospital, we were once again greeted by Anna, a very lovely and friendly nurse. She looked at me and said in a joking manner " ïf you bring any more patients to this hospital - I'm going to ban you".
At all times (I think 5 in all) the staff we encountered in August (including my wife's follow-up at the clinic ) were amazing. As a triage facility, they work extremely well, and it's just a pity they are limited to the treatment they can provide. All in all a very pleasant experience, which we followed up with freshly made scones, jam and cream.
