Staggered at what I feel is the inefficiency of the process- I recall first a handwritten number to stick on clothing, then I filled out details on seemingly a scrap of paper with a biro! I remember staff then put on gloves and clean biros, then I was given an A4 piece of paper with my handwritten number on it, 3 QR codes which I could not open and as I understand it, told to send a text to NSW health in order to be able to request my result.
Around 3 hours I recall standing in queue with a sore back and hip at my older age.
It seemed to me there was no sign of a computer, just piles of paper.
I had a covid test at a different hospital where I thought admin were inefficient- twice I had my Medicare card noted and 2 separate set of questions, but it went into a computer. I recall at the airport, staff went down the queue with an iPad and processed info, so at testing site it was ready to go- in my opinion, this was the gold standard.
