"The care that my grandmother received"

About: Royal Perth Hospital / Acute Medical Ward 7A

(as a relative),

My elderly grandmother was admitted to the dementia unit (7A). Her English is very limited and she has great difficulty hearing, which in addition to her advancing dementia, I think makes her care more complicated for staff.

From the nurses on the ward, I expected competence, and kindness. The care that was in fact provided was so kind and loving that it brought tears to my eyes.

Dear ChurchFlowers2022,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your kind words with us.

I am so pleased to hear your grandmother was provided with such kind and loving care during her admission to Ward 7A at Royal Perth Hospital.

It is always lovely to read when staff leave such a positive impact with both patients and their family members, it is certainly the approach and treatment our staff strive for.

I will pass on your heart-felt words to the staff members involved in your grandmothers care and treatment, I know they will be very appreciative to hear how they made such a wonderful difference.

I wish you grandmother well in her recovery.

Kind Regards,

Dr Lesley Bennett
