About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Family Birth Centre

(as a service user),

We have recently received care through the Family Birth Centre MGP at KEMH. We were incredibly fortunate to have Karen as our primary midwife. It was apparent from the first appointment with Karen that she had a wealth of knowledge and also a high level of empathy. Her approach to pregnancy and birth made us feel safe. She advocated for us when needed and we felt heard.

I cannot thank Karen enough for her care and support.

She is everything we needed and wanted in a continuity of care model.

I believe she is an asset to the Family Birth Centre and the greater KEMH team.

We will be forever grateful.

Congratulations on the birth of your child and thank you for your feedback regarding our midwife Karen from the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) service, and the Family Birth Centre at King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH).

We are always interested in hearing from our patients about their experience and I am glad to hear Karen advocated for you and provided excellent patient centred care. Our staff strive to provide the best possible quality care and it is great to hear this occurred.

I will be sure to pass on thanks to Karen, the MGP team and the Family Birth Centre. I wish you all the best for the future.
