At the time of writing, I was 31 weeks pregnant. Due to developing some complications, I was not able to deliver locally and required to travel for antenatal care at 36/40. My GP obstetrician completed the front of my PATS form, but on taking this to the PATS office, I was told I can't have flights booked as I don't have an appointment at the receiving hospital and that flights are only booked 2 days before. I need to book flights separately for my other children as I cannot leave them at home alone, hence why I would have liked to have had this arranged as soon as possible. I found the staff member at PATS was obstructive and unhelpful at what was already a stressful time.
