My best friend was staying with us in Victoria. One day they woke up with excruciating side/back pain and went to Sale Hospital because nothing was settling the pain. Without much attention given to getting to the source of the pain, they were diagnosed with 'gas' and given Nexium. This was in early 2021, they died a few months later with stage 4 kidney cancer, aged in their early 50’s and leaving behind an autistic child.
