"Birth reassurance"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I met with my midwife Vanessa from MGP throughout my pregnancy. When I was in labour, I was relieved to know she could be reached for reassurance by telephone and I called her around 2am after about 12 hours of labour. She reassured me and I stayed at home until the morning. After arriving at the hospital our baby was born fairly quickly and with no medical intervention (despite me thinking I would need it). I feel really grateful for Vanessa’s support (and the student midwife), relaxed atmosphere and being contactable during our birth.

Dear hydrusre99,

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH). Congratulations on the birth of your baby!

I am so pleased to hear that you received the support, reassurance and guidance from your midwife during your birthing journey. Our staff are committed to ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care and I'm glad that your experience was so positive. Our MGP will be very pleased to receive such great feedback. It is also great to hear that the birth of your baby went smoothly and no medical intervention was required.

Thank you again for providing me with your feedback. I wish you and your family all the best.

Kind regards

Jodi Graham
