I was visiting Sydney and had developed eye symptoms the day before which worsened greatly, leading me to present to the ED at the Sydney Eye Hospital. I was diagnosed with a retinal tear and detached retina so I was very scared and anxious for what the outcome would be and if I would lose sight in the eye.
I had surgery the next day which went well. The staff and drs were very professional and reassuring from start to finish. The triage nurse Chris was amazing, she got the job done while managing to make me smile and the other nurses involved were all very professional. They helped me source accommodation and get things sorted. The fellow Dr Rhuen explained everything and was very professional. Procedure performed by Dr John. As a RN myself, I feel we don’t get much positive feedback but thank you all.
