"Incontinence treatment"

About: Cowes Phillip Island Health Hub

(as the patient),

I had a prostate resection a few years ago, following which I began suffering from bladder incontinence. My GP referred me to the Continence Nursing service at Bass Coast Health. The Nurse (Dianne) was excellent and conducted a thorough examination and diagnosis. She gave me dietary advice and some exercises that have led to a significant improvement in my condition. In fact, I am amazed at just how effective her advice and treatment have been.

Dear betafs56,

Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback your experience. Dianne is a Nurse Practitioner in Continence management which means she has the highest level of expertise, and she works in a team that is extremely committed to restoring some normalcy back into peoples lives. People often get embarrassed about continence issues and don't seek help which is very sad because the continence team have many wonderful techniques that can help people gain some control. Well done to you and your GP for taking the step to connect with our team - I know Dianne and the team will be very chuffed and I hope things go well for you in the future.

Kind Regards, Jan
