"My visit"

About: Albany Health Campus

(as the patient),

I have to say that from the moment I arrived at the front door for my Operation I was made to feel welcomed and safe. I have Stage 4 Bowel Cancer and was having an operation due to metastasis. Every step of the process I felt safe and cared for and everything was explained to me.

I feel the nurses work so hard but they just breeze through what I believe is definitely a love for their job. The Doctors I dealt with were polite, caring and told me precisely what the plan was before and after surgery which helped me feel in control. The Ancillary staff were always friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately my outcome was bad news and it seemed the nurses knew this and I felt their empathy.

I'm home now and waiting for another operation which if at Albany Hospital, I have no concerns as I was so well looked after.
