About: Geraldton Hospital / Emergency Department Geraldton Hospital / Outpatient Services

(as the patient),

Presented to ED with upper right abdominal pain, on a Sunday. I know how much they are under the pump at the moment with COVID and following infection control standards, and it was out of desperation to seek medical attention, but everyone I interacted with were so professional and empathetic. Shout out to the patient triage team out front, Doctor Steph, Kurt, Anna?? and Brandon/Bailey??, the PSA (was a lovely coffee you made). The hospital should be so proud of your commitment and effort during this trying time. Speaks volumes!

Dear Gratefulgeroresident,

Thank you for sharing your story with us on Care Opinion

Firstly, I do hope you have recovered from your abdominal pains. I was delighted to read of the real Geraldton team effort in assisting you when you presented to ED. You are correct, they are under the pump presently and COVID is not making care easier, your kind words highlight their commitment to treating everyone individually and with compassion.

I will ensure that the everyone you’ve mentioned are rightly acknowledged for their great work and dedication to our community.

Thank you again for your wonderful feedback.

Kind Regards,

Derek Fraser
