About: Coral Bay Nursing Post

(as the patient),

I was feeling very unwell. Very foggy and thick headed. I had recently recovered from COVID. I had a second Shingle vaccine and immediately felt very off. My arm was sore, but I was also experiencing extreme thick head and slurred speech and struggling to concentrate. I thought it was a reaction. I did not have these symptoms with my first shot.

I went to my local GP in Perth and he said I was okay, blood pressure slightly elevated. I travelled to Coral Bay, still not feeling 100% but definitely improving. I continued to feel unwell and I went to the nursing post in Coral Bay and was consulted by nurse Jan.

I found she was absolutely brilliant. Thoroughly checked out all my vitals and looked at the whole picture. She then contacted an emergency doctor and consulted with him. I had a teleconference with him and nurse Jan and a plan was formed. Nurse Jan has followed up with me and monitoring me.

Coral Bay and all of us visitors are so fortunate to have such a wonderful service of a very caring and dedicated nurse, in my opinion. I believe she is so knowledgeable and I felt well cared for. It seemed my own GP was nowhere near as attentive.

Thank you for sharing with us your story of the wonderful care Jan provided you during your presentation to the Coral Bay Nursing Post. It was very heartening to read how Jan provided such a comprehensive assessment and liaised with the Telehealth team so a complete plan of care could be provided for you. Jan has certainly gone the extra mile in following up with you afterwards to monitor your progress.

I shall take great pleasure in thanking Jan on your behalf. I hope you are continuing to recover and enjoying your travels.
