I wouldn't change my experience (if I could turn back time), the outcome was positive, however I would not want anyone else to go through what I went through.
In my opinion, my concerns related to:
- seemingly low empathy and consideration from the majority of staff.
- poor escalation and communication... I had fear of deteriorating further.
- I believe some nursing practices were against best practice, current evidence and policies and procedures.
Thus, based on my experience, I feel there have been a few breaches against the national safety and quality health care standards.
