"My story is about my experience with shoulder surgery"

About: Sutherland Hospital / Operating Theatres

(as the patient),

Leading up to my surgery I was feeling anxious about my procedure and what would be happening to me. 

From the first person I saw the lovely lady on covid check-in who was so nice to everyone involved in each step have been wonderful and made me feel at ease.  

I found your staff are kind, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and very approachable. 

I felt safe in my environment and my procedure was explained to me in a way that I could understand. 

The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are clean and the heated blankets are great. 

I was seen to promptly and looked after very well by your staff and your student Carestaff are very polite friendly and approachable. 

The admissions team were wonderful Jenny was very kind and very helpful. 

The anesthetists were really very helpful in helping me decide on different options of my care. 

The recovery team are friendly and helpful and back on the ward the staff were amazing. 

The sandwich was great and my mousse and fruit can’t tell you how hungry I felt lol. 

I have to say my experience with Sutherland Hospital has been a very positive happy and successful one. 

Thank you to everyone for your kindness your help your dedication to person centred care and your community. 

Everybody works together which makes for a great team. 

This will be my choice of hospital for anything I need in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I was delighted to hear that staff from all the areas you mentioned looked after you so well and made you feel comfortable and at ease.

We are very fortunate to have dedicated people working at Sutherland Hospital and this dedication makes us particularly proud of our employees and their commitment to providing care of the highest standard to all our patients.
