Hi,
When I arrived to Bentley Hospital for scheduled surgery that I was waiting for very long time, I didn't really know what to expect. The first thing that came through my mind was- why am I here? I am going to feel dismissed like all the other times in a different hospital. There I am, elderly and with grey hair, who asked for help and had to wait as all public patients do. As soon as I stepped inside through the big glass door to A-Block, I really felt good, every person walking by was smiling and attentive. No one was rushing, yet it seemed no one was kept waiting for too long . I was greeted nicely, escorted to Ward 3 asked to sit down and asked to wait for the Nurse. In no time I was accommodated in a bed allocated to me. The room was clean, fresh and felt inviting. I was given a hospital gown and explained what's going to happen from that point onwards. I had my surgery by a team of wonderful people who tried to cheer me up. I must admit I was petrified, but in no time my White Coat Syndrome walked outside of the building.I spent 1 night in the hospital and if everyone's experience is like mine, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who was working that day.
