I was flown to a metro hospital by Royal Flying doctors early last year from the Kimberley’s with MRSA then transferred to Fiona Stanley hospital where my condition eventually turned into blood septicemia, organ failure and an induced coma. It didn’t look like I was going to make it but through a combined effort of your skills I am here today.
I woke up with psychosis I didn’t know who I was and it was a very scary place for some time. I hope you know it was mainly the drugs, shock and trauma…you see people at their worst but I believe you keep trying. I didn’t think I was going to speak or walk let alone sing and live as well as I do today.
I was in hospital 3 months all together in which I realised the sacrifice you make every day for others. From the surgeons who operated, to the doctors who treated me, the nurses who cared and watched over me, the orderlies who carried me, the specialists and psychologists who talked to me I know how lucky I am.
ICU is a very stressful place to be in I nearly lost my mind but I believe you did whatever you could and I am forever grateful. This song I wrote is for you, all of you. I know you believe in science but I think you are angels too.
The song is called Aurora. I wish you all the best and thank you
"I wrote a song dedicated to all medical staff at the hospital"
