"Planned c-section"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Antenatal Clinic, Birth Suite, Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit, Wards 3B, 3C, 3D, 3DO, Visiting Midwife Service

(as the patient),

I am very confused and anxious about giving birth to Fiona Stanley hospital. 1st I have bad anxiety coming to Fiona Stanley as I have gone through some mental health issues related to the hospital.  I have been assured by the staff that my husband who is my support person to be with me all the time during birth and after. However, he has been tested positive to Covid lately but will have finished his isolation period by the time of the planned c-section but I have been told that if he still test positive on the day of the c-section he won't be allow to be with me.

This is creating more anxiety to me and even worry me that I might develop postnatal depression afterwards knowing I won't have the support needed during my labour.

My question is, according to the covid rules,  people are fine to go back to work after 7 days isolation.  Do nurses and doctors wait to have a negative test before coming back to work? If they are allow to be back to work then why can't my husband be with me, after finishing his 7 days Isolation and no symptoms?

I have spent this whole week dealing with the midwives in clinic 5, the maternity ward, I have barely sleep due to my anxiety and my mental health is to it's lowest it's ever been and I'm wondering whether I keep my planned c-section date or just cancel it and wait for my baby to come naturally... I'm going crazy with all these questions that no one can seem to be able to answer.....
