Signing up for MGP care during my pregnancy was one of the best, if not the best decision I made. I was assigned Cat and Milena as my call anytime-24 hour angel midwives. Before my labour they made me feel supported, informed and confident. After an extended labour, it just so happened that neither could actually attend the last hours of my baby's birth, but I felt supported by Cat in the hours leading up.

Being visited by these midwives meant I could have my healing checked, my baby weighed and my questions answered all in the comfort of my home, I can't imagine how awful having to travel for check ups would have been as I had quite a lot of healing to do.  Their presence in my home was natural and reassuring. I have them to thank for the fact I exclusively and confidently breastfeed even though I faced some latching issues and considerable nipple pain! I am so glad to have been under their care and guidance. I highly recommend this service for expecting mums in the Margaret River area.

Congratulations on the birth of your new baby and thank you for taking the time to feedback on your experience with the Margaret River Midwifery Group Practice. It sounds like it was a long, challenging but rewarding journey to meet your baby earthside.

It's really exciting for the local women in the Margaret River area to be able to receive the level of care and support to new families that an MGP is able to provide with that 24/7 phone contact, home visits and continuity of care through pregnancy all the way through to when baby is 6 weeks old. The plan is that soon every maternity site in the South West will have an MGP which is a wonderful achievement and such a great outcome for all of the women in the South West.

The MGP Midwives are such dedicated and competent midwives with huge hearts and it will bring them great joy to know the care they were able to provide you with had you to feel informed, supported and confident on your mothering journey. I will be sure to pass on your feedback!!
