Around lunch time, I went to the hospital to ask for some advice re a small lesion on one of my hands. Thinking the info would be dispensed through a short conversational contact and that I would be out within a quarter hour, I went ahead.
The first thing required before I was permitted to speak to a staff member was to have a Covid Test even though I was the recipient of a total of 4 vaccinations and had Certificates with me. Once the Covid Test proved negative I was ushered into the reception area to give identifying information as well as receiving a manual check of my pulse. I was asked if I had any objections to being put in contact with a virtual doctor as my pulse indicated that it was not regular.
With continual periodic questioning as to whether I had any pain, one of two ECGs initially for the first doctor, and at the end of the 9 hours, for the second doctor, a drip to replace electrolyte, were all administered before I was permitted to leave
I wish to espouse the virtues of the three nurses present for the 9 hours I spent in the emergency ward. Laura, Kristy, and Bella were most helpful, courteous and considerate staff. If one has to be in hospital, one would/could not wish for better staff to attend a patient.
Thank you to all at the Kalbarri Medical Clinic.
